The second edition of the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup begins on 25 October 2026, in Hangzhou, China. Naegohyang Women’s FC, Asian champion, faces Auckland United FC, Oceania winner, at the Shangcheng Sports Centre Stadium at 15:00 local time, according to the update published by FIFA.

The clash is not just the opening of another tournament. It inaugurates the route that can take a team from different continents to the final phase in Miami, scheduled for January 2027. The competition was designed to bring continental champions together in an intercontinental club contest.

The winner of the first round will face the African champion in a second phase. FIFA also informs that the date and venue for that fixture will be announced. That distinction is important: the sporting path is defined, but not all operational details have been published.

In the final phase, FC Barcelona and Club América already appear among the confirmed teams. The other semifinal spot will be occupied by the Copa Libertadores Feminina champion and the winner of the path formed by the initial rounds. The composition turns the competition into a bridge between continental championships that rarely meet in official club matches.

The first edition ended with Arsenal's victory over Corinthians by 3–2 after extra time, in London, in February 2026. That result is part of the tournament's history but does not determine what will happen in the new edition. Responsible analysis must separate record, expectation and official confirmation.

For the Brazilian public, the main information is to follow updates on qualified teams, kickoff times and broadcast coverage. FIFA states that ticket details and coverage will be confirmed closer to each match. Until then, the official calendar is the reference for any change.

The new tournament creates a regular pathway to compare continental champions without erasing the identity of each region.
